U.S. Debt Growth (USDEBT)

Tracks the absolute change in U.S. federal debt over the past 30 days, measured in USD billions.

This market represents how much total U.S. government debt has increased over the last month. The price is defined as today's total federal debt minus the level from 30 days ago, capturing the net amount of new borrowing accumulated in that period.

During weekends and holidays when debt values are not reported, we use the latest available data from the most recent business day before the holiday.

Data Sources

We fetch source data from the following providers:

  • U.S. Treasury Fiscal Data API - Official government source for federal debt and financial data
  • Market mid price - Current market's mid price from Tings market

All sources are weighted equally in our oracle calculation. These coefficients might be adjusted during the testnet phase as we assess the reliability and accuracy of each source.

Oracle Algorithm

The final oracle value is calculated using the oracle algorithm described in the Oracle Price Evaluation documentation.
